Meetings of the Pension Board are warned in City Hall and through Rutland Public Schools. The Pension Board is comprised of 5 Aldermen and 5 School Commissioners, with the City Treasurer as the Chair of the Pension Board, and Commissioner, according to City ordinance.
The Treasurer’s Office distributes participant pension statements in the spring of each year which provide an estimate of your retirement benefit at your estimated retirement age. Please retain these statements for future planning purposes. For employees contemplating retirement, please contact City Treasurer, Mary Markowski at 802-774-7810 to begin your annuity upon retirement or to obtain a refund of your contributions upon termination from City or School employment. To make changes to your pension file (such as a change in beneficiary), please contact Human Resources at the City or Rutland Public School administration office (RPS employees) for the change forms.
