All Night Parking Prohibited!
VIOLATION OF TITLE 27 ROR 5044,
Section 5044. All-night parking prohibited.
a) No person owning, operating or controlling a motor vehicle shall park, or cause to be parked said motor vehicle on any street or highway within the central business district of the City of Rutland from 3:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. inclusive.
b) No person owning or controlling a motor vehicle shall park, or cause to be parked said motor vehicle on any street or highway within the City of Rutland from 12:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. inclusive from December 1 through March 31 inclusive; provided, however, that the foregoing restriction shall not apply to Forest Street from West Street to River Street.

Contesting Parking Tickets

Tickets must be contested within 7 days from the date of issue and must be contested in writing to the Traffic Court, PO Box 969, Rutland VT 05702-0969.
You will be notified in writing of the result. You should ignore any computer generated doubling notices until a decision is made.
Where To Pay Parking Fines
Checks are to be made payable to the City of Rutland. Payment is to be mailed to: City of Rutland Traffic Court, PO Box 969, Rutland VT 05702-0969.
SEND PAYMENT TO: Rutland City Traffic Court, P.O. Box 969, Rutland, VT 05702-0969, or pay at the Rutland City Treasurer’s Office at Rutland City Hall at 1 Strongs Avenue (also addressed as 52 Washington Street), OR use our new PAYMENT DROP SLOT located at City Hall at the rear parking lot entrance to the right of the door. Also, for your convenience, you can now pay online at www.rutlandcity.org, online payment section (fees apply).

Booting of Vehicles
BOOT POLICY: Any owner of a vehicle with two (2) or more outstanding tickets are subject to impoundment. R.O.R. 4742 (see ordinance at www.rutlandcity.org – Traffic Court section).
Once you are on the “Boot List,” partial payments can no longer be accepted. The total amount due must be paid in full.
All payments are to be made at the City Treasurers Office.
