Health Officer

Overview

The Health Officer is appointed by the Commissioner of Public Health, upon the recommendation of the Board of Aldermen, to a three-year term. The main role of the Health Officer is to investigate and abate any existing or potential health hazards in the City of Rutland. This is done with the help of the Board of Health and a close working relationship with all the City Departments and the Vermont Department of Health.
